It’s finally here, the moment many of us have been waiting for. There is an official launch date and time for SpaceX’s human space flight to the International Space Station.

Crew Dragon will be launching at 16:33EDT / 2033 GMT on Wednesday the 27th of May. The weather isn’t looking too hopeful at the moment, so there is a 60% chance the launch will go ahead as scheduled.

If the weather permits, this is going to be one of the most historic launches of our time. The first ever commercial space company to launch humans into space. It unlocks the next chapter of our space exploration, a step towards a multi-planetary race and certain opens a flood gate for commercial space travel.

It’s a huge moment for all of us, if successful, you and I could be visiting space hotels, and even the moon within the next 30-40 years.

We will be back with an update on launch from 16:30 on Wednesday.
